HCP provides seed and early-stage funding to promising new companies in the healthcare market. With our strong entrepreneurial experiences, HCP understands the challenges of starting a new company. It is our goal to assist entrepreneurs and to streamline the process to insure their company’s success. Our extensive industry contacts are a valuable resource for our portfolio companies.

A typical first investment will range between $100,000 to $1.5 million in early-stage companies that are still building their management teams and clarifying their business strategy. As an early stage investor, HCP works closely with company founders. We typically participate at the board level and provide hands-on guidance to the company’s management team and will serve as interim management if needed until the management team is complete. HCP will also assist in recruiting to help build the team. We can also provide assistance in strategic planning, business development, identifying future investors and administrative and accounting services.

HCP looks for companies that target large and growing markets, have management with a successful track record and have proprietary technology.

All of the companies in which we invest in must be located in the Southeastern region of the US. Because of our close relationship with our companies, we must be able to reach any company by air or car within two hours or less.
